The problem

The books are the easy part.

Running the practice around them is what eats your week.

Your practice lives in five apps

Email, texts, shared folders, a spreadsheet of deadlines, and a separate portal, with nothing tied to the client.

Clients send things late, or not at all

Month-end slips while you wait on a bank statement or an answer about one uncategorized charge.

Recurring work is rebuilt by hand

Every new client means setting up the same monthly, quarterly, and year-end tasks from scratch.

What you get

Everything your practice runs on.

Built for one- to three-person firms that want fewer apps, not more.

Client hub

Every client's profile, contacts, deadlines, notes, and full history of requests, files, and messages on one page.

At launch

Client requests and transaction sorting

Send clients a phone checklist for documents, receipts, and questions about uncategorized transactions, with automatic reminders.

At launch

Bank statements to CSV, balanced

Turn bank statement PDFs into QuickBooks-ready CSV files. Every file is checked: opening plus activity must equal closing.

At launch

Secure document portal

Clients upload statements and tax forms into encrypted folders, organized by client and month.

At launch

Recurring work, set up in one click

Keep one master task library. When you onboard a client, check what applies and their monthly, quarterly, and annual to-dos build themselves.

At launch

Secure client messaging

Chat with each client, and comment right on the transaction, document, or task in question.

At launch
How it works

From new client to clean month-end.

Onboard in minutes

Add the client's profile, check the tasks that apply, and their recurring work is scheduled.

Clients send what you need

Statements, documents, and answers about transactions arrive through a simple checklist, with automatic reminders.

Work and close in one place

Tasks, files, messages, and history sit together on each client, so nothing slips.

Pricing

One flat price. Not per user or per client.

Practice management tools usually charge for every seat or every client. Ledgerbird plans are planned to start at $39 a month for up to 25 clients, and founding practices lock in a lower rate.

"I built Ledgerbird because I was running my practice across too many apps. It's the one place I wanted for my clients, my work, and my month-end."

Questions

Good to know

Does Ledgerbird replace QuickBooks?

No. Ledgerbird works alongside QuickBooks Online or Xero. It runs your practice and everything between you and your clients, while the books stay in your accounting software.

Do my clients have to download an app?

No. Clients can open a secure link on any phone. An iPhone app is planned for clients who want push reminders.

How is client data protected?

Files are encrypted, each practice sees only its own clients, and Ledgerbird never asks for Social Security numbers or full bank account numbers.

When does it launch?

We're building now and plan to open to founding practices in early 2027. Waitlist members get access first.

What does founding pricing mean?

Practices that join early get a discounted rate that stays in place for as long as they subscribe.
